Arthur Quilt Show

The Amish women have a long tradition of quality quilt work. This annual show at Arthur, Illinois gives hundreds of visitors from the Midwest an opportunity to share in the creativity.

The annual quilt show features one of America's most significant folk arts. It also displays the high-quality quilting for which the Amish women are famous.

It is an annual event that attracts visitors from all over the Midwest.

The Arcola Flower Patch owns several of these quilts which are on display and also used as covers for their beds.

You can touch and feel the living history of the Amish experience. For the skilled artisans, this is an opportunity to see the creative designs and techniques revealed in this remarkable handiwork.



Rockome Quilt Auction

happens several times during the year. The first event is in April. The Old Fashion Quilt Auction happens in April, September, and October at the Otto Center in Arthur, IL. Visitors may view the quilts a day before and during the morning before the auction starts at 1:00 PM. An Amish auctioneer will call the sale. At an auction the highest bidder takes the quilt. This show features a large selection of quilts. Most of them are hand-made items.
Also Rockome features the East Central Illinois Quilt Show at the gardens in October.
